Amy L. DeWitt

Amy L. DeWitt is a Professor of Sociology at Shepherd University. She received her Ph.D. in sociology with an emphasis on marriage and family from the University of North Texas. Her research focuses on gender and parental roles, particularly as they are portrayed in children’s media. Her work has appeared in journals including Sex Roles, Feminist Teacher, Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness, and Response.
