Gregory Hallenbeck

Washington and Jefferson College

Gregory Hallenbeck’s dissertation work was in astronomy, studying the evolution of both massive and dwarf galaxies. Now, he is an Assistant Professor of Computing & Information Studies at Washington & Jefferson College. There, he teaches classes in data science, astronomy, and interactive fiction. In addition to the aforementioned subjects, his research interests include science fiction and fantasy media, Dungeons & Dragons, and pedagogy. He and his wife live in Washington, Pennsylvania with their two cats, one of whom was adopted from an astronomical observatory in Puerto Rico.
